We are continuously improving our shopping cart integrations to let our customers take advantage of the most complete set of functionality available and automate as many of their workflows as possible. The latest cart to get a completely new integration is Bigcommerce. Our original partnership and integration with Bigcommerce, was built and launched in 2010 – for a walk down memory lane, you can read the original press release. Since then, both platforms have grown and evolved to support new features that were key to growing a successful eCommerce business, that were not available under the existing integration.
With Bigcommerce’s release of v2 of their API we took the opportunity to rewrite the integration from the ground up and to expand the supported workflows and data flows. The new integration supports the following:
- Order information can be imported directly from the Bigcommerce store.
- Product information can be imported directly from the Bigcommerce store.
- Customer records can be imported directly from the Bigcommerce store.
- Customer order notes can be imported directly from the Bigcommerce store.
- Manual inventory synchronization is supported in both directions (to the Bigcommerce store from Monsoon OMS and Monsoon OMS to the Bigcommerce store)
- Real time inventory (QOH) synchronization is supported in both directions (to the Bigcommerce store from Monsoon OMS and Monsoon OMS to the Bigcommerce store)
- Real-time inventory synchronization is supported at the product/attribute/sub-SKU level
- Order status updates from Monsoon OMS to Bigcommerce are synced. The Bigcommerce cart recognizes a specific list of status labels.
- Carrier and tracking number updates are imported from Monsoon OMS to the Bigcommerce store via the Process Tracking numbers functionality.
- Delayed payment capture (Auth card in the cart, Capture in the OMS) is supported for the following payment processors: PayPal, PayPal Express, Authorize.net AIM
- Authorized and Captured (“Paid-in-Full”) orders are available for all payment gateways supported by OMS.
- Support for multiple Bigcommerce shops under one account (login).
The new Bigcommerce integration has been in use by beta customers since September and the reviews have been great. If you are a current Monsoon Commerce customer, please reach out to your Account Manager to get information on upgrading.
